This header runs across the top of the page. A middle-aged white person stands outdoors collecting ballots from voters dropping them off from their cars. Their back is to the camera. They’re wearing a yellow safety vest with the words “Election Official” written prominently on the back.

Public Servants

Two women are exploring the stacks of a library together. One is a librarian wearing a lanyard. She's smiling and looking through the books on a shelf and pointing something out to the other woman, who looks on with a bright curiosity.

Public servants weave the intricate, specialized fabric that supports modern life.

They build our roads and keep our lights on. They deliver weather forecasts, mail, and running water. They protect air and ground traffic, our food system, elections, and our health. They make the intellectual, cultural, and creative achievements of humankind accessible to every curious mind.

Their collective, overlooked expertise touches nearly every aspect of our daily lives.

But somehow, they face attack. Elected bomb throwers threatened by facts and truth turn public servants into targets for intimidation and physical violence. And when shameless officials shut our government down to negotiate for backward agendas, the vital work, livelihoods, and families of our public servants are collateral damage.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to collaborate with the unsung heroes who improve our lives. It's an honor to support our public servants.
